Tulum Private Boat Tour & Turtle Snorkelling Experience – We booked this to celebrate my birthday, we had been looking for something that wasn’t a big tour group and more intimate and found the perfect experience. Salvador picked us up from our hotel at 8am and we went to the Tulum ruins, he was great on the journey there telling us lots about Mexico and Playa del Carmen itself and being able to answer various questions we threw at him. On arrival in Tulum we went to see the Mayan ruins and again Salvador was a great guide, explaining different parts of the ruins and taking complimentary photos throughout the tour, again he was great with any questions we had in regards to the tour and the ruins. Once we left the tour we headed down to the beach to go snorkelling, on our way to the snorkelling the boat headed along the cost to show us some ruins that were only visible from the sea. We then headed to the barrier reef, I’m normally not a fan of open water but this was perfect, the water was so clear and not too deep either, it also felt very safe with both Salvador and the guys from boat. We got to see so many stingrays which were a bonus as we were not expecting that and got close to all kinds of fish and especially the turtles. Salvador took some images and videos on his go pro which he has kindly shared with us.
We finally went for some tacos and I can easily say these were the best tacos we’ve had and so filling.
All in all this was the best Birthday I could have hoped for and I highly recommend booking with Best Maya Tours, we will be booking with them again when we’re back in Mexico!

We began our tour with an amazing snorkeling experience, encountering a variety of marine life, including turtles and stingrays. After our snorkeling adventure, we headed to the ruins of Tulum, where Salvador shared fascinating insights about the ancient Mayan civilization. To cap off our tour, we enjoyed a delicious taco lunch at El Capitan, where we were able to relax and reflect on the amazing experiences we had throughout the day. We highly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend taking a tour with Sal! We did the Private Boat Ride Tulum and Turtles and had a wonderful time. We especially enjoyed getting to know Sal and spending the day with him. Don’t hesitate to book a tour. You won’t regret it!

We spent the day with Salvador touring the Tulum ruins, snorkeling in the beautiful Caribbean Sea and eating a delicious lunch at El Capitán. Salvador was very knowledgeable on the ruins, Mayan life and all the wildlife in the sea. We swam with rays, turtles and even saw an eel. Super excursion ! La visite du site archéologique de Tulum a été très enrichissante, nous avons préféré la 2 ème partie en bateau où le site archéologique vu de l’océan est juste incroyable. Les fonds marins et la barrière de corail est époustouflante. Le guide nous a amené pile à l’endroit où nous avons vu au moins 4 raies et 1 tortue en plus de pleins de poissons. Je recommande !!

It was a wonderful day, worth every penny.
We swam with sea turtles, learned about the reef and the different species of fish. Spent some time in TULUM sightseeing. It was absolutely incredible.

Awesome day! Salvador was so knowledgeable and personable. Well worth the money!! We swam with Sea turtles, explored the reef learning about coral and different species of fish. Several stingrays were seen as well. WONDERFUL experience!

Our day was even more than anticipated. Salvador gave us unique history of the ruins and was never in a hurry. We were able to stop and take our time viewing all the beautiful overlooks and artifacts. Our turtle outing was breathtaking. The water was warm and we saw turtles and manta reys. We had enough time to explore and relax in the warm ocean. I highly recommend Salvador for a wonderful tour guide

Don’t hesitate! This tour is as amazing as it sounds!! We made some great memories thanks to Salvador. His vast knowledge of both Tulum history and Mexico in general provided us with a fun and informative experience. We were able to see a ton of sting rays and a few big sea turtles during the snorkeling portion of the trip. We will definitely book another Best Maya tour next time we find ourselves in Mexico
