Private Punta Laguna Monkey Sanctuary
Embark on an unforgettable journey through the tropical rainforest and visit Punta Laguna and its monkey reserve, enjoy a handful of diverse activities such as observing the birds, canoeing, swimming in a cenote, discover Mayan traditions, flying with the zipline.
We also participate in a Maya welcome ceremony to the community and then finish the day by having lunch at a typical mexican restaurant to try the real mayan cuisine pollo pibil and cochinita pibil.
Punta Laguna is a small village and community where there live today 120 people, composing of 30 families. This place is a great example of how a community can be dedicated to a sustainable way of life with complete respect of the environment and the will to protect their natural and cultural heritage.
