Tour Reviews
After carefully comparing options, my son and I were delighted to secure a private tour to Tulum and Coba with our guide, Salvador. The journey commenced promptly and smoothly. The ride to our first destination was informative, pleasant, and remarkably comfortable, thanks to Salvador’s impeccable driving skills that ensured our safety throughout.
Thanks to Salvador’s efficient planning, our early arrival in Tulum allowed us to bypass the majority of the crowds and the scorching midday heat. Salvador’s flexibility in negotiating reasonable prices for necessary equipment we had forgotten (such as sun hats and bug spray) was greatly appreciated. The visit was well-paced and enjoyable, and the views of the ruins and the ocean were breathtaking.
Our next stop was a nearly secluded cenote, a truly unique and exclusive experience that made us feel like privileged guests. With Salvador’s patience and care, my son’s fears as a novice swimmer were expertly handled, transforming his apprehension into confidence. Salvador’s guidance and instructions were instrumental in making this once-in-a-lifetime visit an unforgettable event.
After a delicious and much-enjoyed local lunch (and a beer for me), we headed to the ruins in Coba. After such a filling lunch, the Mayan Limo was a must, and our talk with our ‘driver’ was pleasantly light and fun. Our guide took photos throughout the trip using his phone and a Nikon camera and did not charge us additional costs for this wonderful and professional service. The interactive tour allowed us to smell resin from incense trees and touch replicas. The descriptive stories Salvador provided were both exciting and informative. We ended the day with smiles and wonderment 🙂
I highly recommend this team for a private tour. If you want to avoid large, loud, and sometimes obnoxious groups to truly enjoy a customized day trip, this is the place to book! The personal touch and individualized care we received made us feel truly valued. I am officially spoiled, and will only book excursions that provide this type of dedicated and individualized care. I am lucky we found them!
Many thanks for exceeding my expectations Best Maya Tours! I will certainly be back and highly recommend them.
Best,
Sherry
